Tony is a co-founder and director of Higher Ministries. Before launching Higher Ministries, Tony served in the local church in the areas of youth, worship, associate, and senior leadership. Tony has been a part of four church plant teams and launched two non-profit ministry organizations. Tony specializes in helping people and organizations discover and implement vision, tell their story, and recognize their leadership potential.

Bruce is a co-founder and director of Higher Ministries. He has recently retired and serves as Emeritus Professor at Milligan University. Before joining the Milligan University faculty, Bruce spent twenty-seven years, most as a senior minister, in congregations of Ohio, Indiana, and Texas. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication specializing in organizational relationships and commitment, Bruce has consulted both for-profit and non-profit organizations, trained sales representatives, and consulted with congregations and church staffs in the area of conflict management, relationships, planning, and team building.

Karl has been working with Higher Ministries since 2015. Having spent years in the corporate world as an owner/operator with McDonald’s. Karl then decided to devote his life to ministry. In addition to his work with Higher Ministries, Karl serves as the Senior Minister of Harrison Christian Church and a hospice chaplain.

Robert joined the Higher Ministries team in 2023. He can be heard from weekly as co-host of The Small Church Podcast. Robert has years of ministry and media experience and loves to help churches evaluate and elevate their marketing and media presence. From graphic design to website and photography, Robert is passionate about helping church put their best foot forward and connect with people in their communities. Robert also serves as the Campus Pastor of NorthRidge Community Church Erwin.

Liesl is the newest member of our team, joining in 2023. Liesl has years of experience in outdoors ministry and as a worship leader. She is a trained spiritual director who has worked with both lay leaders and ministers. As a spiritual director, Liesl walks alongside individuals on their spiritual journey. Liesl sees her role as spiritual director as a spiritual companion, helping a person become more aware of their path with God and of His presence in the world. In addition to her work with Higher Ministries, Liesl teaches at Milligan University and serves as a hospital chaplain. Liesl and her husband have three children and three grandchildren.
